You don't need to know how to curl to have an incredible time — you just need to show up.

The 1st Annual Edmonton Chamber Curling Bonspiel is your team's chance to step off the sidelines, get on the ice, and connect with fellow Chamber members in one of the most uniquely Canadian ways possible. Seasoned curlers are welcome, but so is anyone who has never touched a stone in their life. This day was built for both.

The Shamrock Curling Club has you covered from the moment you walk in. Equipment is available on-site and included in the ticket price, and their staff will get every player fully set up and ready to curl — no experience and no equipment needed. That means your focus stays exactly where it should be: on your team, your community, and a whole lot of fun.

Throughout the day, teams of four will rotate through curling games alongside social challenges and networking opportunities. 

Lunch and one drink per person are included with your registration, with additional food and beverages available for purchase all day long.

Come for the networking. Stay for the fun on the ice. Leave with new relationships and a story worth telling.

🕒 Event Schedule:

  • 9:00 AM – Registration opens, enjoy our welcome reception with coffee, and breakfast pastries.
  • 9:30 AM – Learn to Curl demo
  • 10:00 AM – Draw 1
  • 11:00 AM – Draw 2
  • 12:00 PM – Lunch
  • 1:00 PM – Draw 3
  • 2:00 PM – Draw 4
  • 3:00 PM – Draw 5
  • 3:30 PM – Prizes & event wrap-up

🥌 What to Expect:
Whether you’re a seasoned skip or stepping onto the ice for the first time, this event is all about connection, friendly competition, and a whole lot of fun. We’ll make sure everyone gets a chance to learn, play, and cheer each other on.

👟 What to Wear & Bring:

  • Clean indoor running shoes (required on the ice)
  • Comfortable, layered clothing (it’s cool inside!)
  • Your best sweeping skills—or at least your enthusiasm

  • Arrive early so you don’t miss the demo or your first draw
  • Bring your business cards—networking is part of the game!
