SUMMARY:Tom Goodchild Memorial Golf Tournament - Leduc
DESCRIPTION:We're excited to once again host the Tom Goodchild Memorial Golf Tournament in support of NAIT's Culinary & Hospitality Program!Join us on Thursday\, August 27\, 2026\, at Leduc Golf & Country Club for a great day of golf\, camaraderie\, and giving back. After the tournament\, enjoy a delectable Sawmill Prime Rib dinner at Sawmill Leduc.NAIT scholarships and bursaries play a crucial role in helping students manage the rising costs of education. Many rely on a mix of savings\, income\, loans\, and awards to afford their studies. With tuition and living expenses continuing to climb\, financial support is more important than ever. The Tom Goodchild Memorial Bursary provides direct assistance to a culinary student facing financial hardship. This support can help them stay in school\, focus on learning rather than working extra hours\, and excel in their program.Tom's legacy in the hospitality industry spanned 57 years\, beginning at the King Edward Hotel in Edmonton at just 14 years old. A NAIT hospitality management graduate\, he went on to build a career that included 22 restaurants. Our goal is to raise $50\,000 to endow the bursary\, ensuring Tom's name lives on while supporting students with $1\,000 bursaries each year. Any additional funds raised will go toward a second bursary. We look forward to another memorable tournament and hope you'll join us in supporting future culinary professionals!Click here for full event information & registration
