On December 9th, join us for a Conversation with Hon. Ric McIver, Minister of Municipal Affairs.
Moderated by our President & CEO, Jeffrey Sundquist, hear directly from Minister McIver about the challenges and opportunities for Alberta, the changes following the recent municipal elections and the priorities for the Ministry of Municipal Affairs.
Following Minister McIver’s address, we welcome guests to ask the Minister questions about his plans to support municipalities in Alberta and on the work to establish collaborative partnerships with the new Mayors and Councillors in our province.

Minister McIver was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta on April 23, 2012 as the MLA for Calgary-Hays. He was re-elected on May 5, 2015, and again on April 16, 2019. Previously, McIver has served Albertans as Minister of Transportation, Infrastructure, and Jobs, Skills, Training and Labour.
A proud husband and father, McIver served 3 terms on Calgary’s City Council, bringing his experience as a business owner and family man to offer a common-sense, fiscally responsible viewpoint to Council. Read Minister McIver’s full biography here
