Please join the President of Treasury Board and Minister of Finance, Travis Toews, for a discussion on Budget 2021 and Alberta’s fiscal future.
Alberta’s economy has been hit hard. The collapse in oil prices and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic have all contributed to the downturn of Alberta’s economy. Currently, we face a $24 billion deficit and almost $100 billion in taxpayer supported debt. There are tough days and tough decisions ahead. We, as Albertans, need to decide how we want to tackle our great fiscal challenge.
Following Minister Toews address, we welcome guests to ask the Minister questions about how Alberta’s Government can best navigate our economic and fiscal challenges to ensure a resilient recovery.
