Today’s global market is quickly is rapidly facing a tipping point of paradigm shifts – with global tech companies driving the change with artificial intelligence (AI)and new emerging tech that will be embedded into their offerings such as announced by Microsoft and Open AI’s CHATGPT and Facebooks’ Metaverse, and Google’s Robotics.
Will they change how we learn, operate businesses and do our jobs? In short yes. With the economic winds facing us in 2023, businesses need to adapt to improve their operations using tech, job seekers need upskilling advance in a tech job market, and educators need real-time access to skill demands.
This event will provide insights how businesses can adapt to thrive and grow and on the types of skills employers look for in job seekers new tech-enabled job activities. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with the speaker panel, industry experts and other professionals, to open doors to grow their careers and businesses.

Felicia Mutheardy
Chief Corporate Economist, City of Edmonton
Felicia Mutheardy has almost a decade of experience in economic analysis, research, and government administration. Prior to joining the City of Edmonton, Felicia was a Senior Economist with the Government of Alberta. She has also held various positions with the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, primarily with their Market Analysis Centre. Felicia holds both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degree in Economics from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario.

An experienced leader and active community volunteer, Chris has a strong track record of bringing people and ideas together. He has an impressive portfolio and expertise in economic development, community-building, marketing, strategy, and business engagement. An avid cyclist and volunteer ski patroller at Jasper’s Marmot Basin, you can usually find him flying down the nearest mountain side.
