United Way is excited to begin hosting our Poverty Simulations again with the first one planned on July 6th. Due to COVID-19, we had to shut these down and so this is our first simulation in 3 years.
What is a Poverty Simulation?
A Poverty Simulation is a unique and powerful experience which replicates a month in the life of a family living in Poverty. The mission of the participants is to provide food, shelter, and other basic needs with a limited income.
- If you would like to participate in the Poverty Simulation, please checkout our website. Those wishing to participate will need to be on site from 9:00am – 12:00pm on July 6th.
- If you would like to volunteer in this or any other Poverty Simulation, please email volunteer@myunitedway.ca. Those wishing to volunteer will need to be on site from 8:00am – 12:00pm on July 6th.
