He has over 14 years of experience in the restructuring field\, assisting both debtors and credits with creative solutions. He worked as auditor with the CRA for 9 years before moving into the restructuring field at Browning Crocker which was shortly after acquired by BDO. He became Vice President and Trustee in Bankruptcy at BDO where he worked for 5 years until moving to Ernst & Young as Vice President of Transaction Advisory Services & Restructuring. Three years ago Dan moved to Grant Thornton where he continues to help offer a wide range of services to address complex situations for businesses in financial distress.\n\n \n\n\n\nStephen Latimer\, CA\, Senior Manager Tax Services\n\n\n\nSteve is a senior manager at Grant Thornton LLP with the Canadian tax advisory practice. Steve's main area of focus is corporate tax planning and reorganization strategies for small to mid-sized privately held companies. Steve works closely with his clients to find out what is important to them\, what their short and long-term objectives are and creates tax-deferred plans to help meet these objectives. Steve also provides estate planning services to ensure his client's personal and business assets can be passed on to successors in the most tax efficient way possible.
