Position Overview:
The Accounts Assistant plays a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of Gateway Holistic Care Group. This position is responsible for managing the organization’s financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, handling payroll, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions. The Accounts Assistant ensures that the organization operates within budget, accurately reports financial data, and supports leadership in making informed financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management: Oversee all aspects of the organization’s finances, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensure that the organization operates within its financial parameters and meets strategic financial goals.

Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation of financial transactions. Ensure that invoices are processed in a timely manner and that accounts are balanced at all times.

Payroll: Oversee the payroll process to ensure accurate and timely payment to staff. Coordinate with HR to manage employee compensation, deductions, and benefits, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements.

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for the leadership team, providing insights into the financial performance of the organization. Assist with budget reviews and audits as necessary.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the organization’s budget, working closely with leadership to ensure that financial resources are allocated effectively. Provide forecasts to project the organization’s financial performance and track expenditures.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations. Maintain an accurate system of accounting records, and implement proper controls and procedures for financial reporting and auditing.

Strategic Financial Planning: Work with leadership to analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for improving financial efficiency. Identify cost-saving measures and ways to improve the organization’s financial health.

Vendor and Contract Management: Manage relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms for the organization. Review service agreements and financial terms to ensure compliance with budget and financial goals.

Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement controls to mitigate them. Ensure that all financial procedures are compliant with regulatory standards and best practices, minimizing the potential for financial discrepancies or losses.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (required).

CPA designation (preferred).

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial management or accounting.

Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.

Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
