Asyst is a growing provider of Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) services in Edmonton, dedicated to delivering safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation for seniors, individuals with mobility challenges, and healthcare organizations. We specialize in bed-to-bed patient transfers, door-to-door pickups, and wheelchair-accessible transportation, utilizing vehicles equipped to meet specialized patient needs. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to strengthen and oversee our service delivery, fleet management, and staff performance as we expand in the region.
Position Overview
The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of our NEMT division. This role includes supervising staff, coordinating trip schedules, managing the fleet, and ensuring all services meet safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate excels in process optimization, team leadership, and operational efficiency within a healthcare or transportation setting.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee daily NEMT service operations to maintain high standards in safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
· Coordinate scheduling, dispatching, and trip logistics for clients and healthcare partners.
· Supervise, train, and support drivers and operational staff to ensure quality service.
· Manage fleet maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
· Develop, implement, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficient service delivery.
· Monitor performance metrics, operational budgets, and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Collaborate with the leadership team on strategic planning and process enhancements.
· Represent the company at industry events and maintain relationships with healthcare partners as needed.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Transportation, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations management, transportation, healthcare, or related industries.
· Demonstrated ability to lead teams, optimize processes, and ensure compliance in a regulated environment.
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
· Familiarity with healthcare systems, NEMT services, or medical logistics preferred.
· Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
· Valid driver’s license; willingness to participate in ride-alongs and support field operations.
