About Us

Ontario - 2050.
BC - 1250.
Alberta - 264.
Edmonton - 51.

Those stats represent the number of attendees at the largest Super Smash Bros Ultimate gaming events in 2024. Despite huge growth in the esports sector, which exceeded global projected revenue by $300M USD last year, Edmonton is lagging behind the rest of Alberta, which is in turn lagging behind other Canadian provinces. Stranger still, despite lackluster performance in tournament organization, most of Alberta's top players live in the Edmonton area. This to French Bread Gaming signifies huge growth potential for Edmonton's esports scene (and tourism economy).

French Bread Gaming was founded in April 2024 to establish Edmonton as a regional capital for Super Smash Bros. We already host the largest weekly and annual tournaments in the city, and plan to establish ourselves as leaders in the province within two years. Then, within a five-year timeframe, we plan to bring Canada's third Major Tournament (as determined by LumiRank) in Edmonton.
