About Us

The Prostate Cancer Centre (PCC) fights prostate cancer by delivering one-stop support to men and their families with access to prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood testing for early prostate cancer detection, education, personalized care and research. We promote overall health and well-being, inspire hope and reduce the impact of prostate cancer in our community across the province of Alberta.

Our community outreach program, the MAN VAN®, is Canada’s first mobile men’s health clinic offering free PSA blood testing for early prostate cancer detection in Alberta. Visitors can also receive a mental wellness check that helps identify symptoms of depression or anxiety.

The MAN VAN® goes where the men are – sporting and community events, festivals, shows and fairs, rodeos, workplaces, shopping complexes, and more. It’s a crucial service that addresses the accessibility and proactive health care needs of men, particularly in rural, vulnerable and Indigenous communities across the province of Alberta.

We welcome any person with a prostate regardless of their ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or socioeconomic status.

While it’s a unique program focused on early detection of prostate cancer and men’s mental health, we also educate men on the importance of being proactive about their health.

Often a man's visit to the MAN VAN® is the first step in exploring their overall health and lifestyle.
