vrCAVE is an Edmonton company that builds virtual reality escape room experiences. Its VR software runs in arcades, family entertainment centres and escape room venues in more than 30 countries, and the company produces its own VR events and exhibitions.

Through AlignVR, vrCAVE applies the same technology to team building and soft skills evaluation for Alberta employers. Conventional team building sessions and interviews are limited by impression management, the tendency for people to filter and inflate how they come across to match what they think the evaluator wants to see. AlignVR puts groups of up to four people through tightly designed VR scenarios that produce natural behaviour instead, which gives hiring managers and team leads a clearer read on how someone actually works with others. It is also booked on its own as a morale event for teams that just want a good afternoon together.
