Edmonton is on the cusp of a major opportunity in women’s professional sport. The momentum is there, the talent is here, and the market is growing faster than ever. What we need now is coordinated leadership, investment, and a shared commitment to building the infrastructure that will allow women’s teams to thrive. This event brings that coalition together. The Edmonton Chamber of Commerce, ZerOne Hockeyology, ZerOne Athleticare, Sport Edmonton, and Hockey Canada are joining forces to spark the conversation and drive the investment needed to secure a professional women’s team in Edmonton by 2026.

Supported by the City of Edmonton and Explore Edmonton’s shared strategic focus on advancing women’s sport, the event brings together partners who each contribute a critical piece: sport development, economic expertise, community reach, event hosting capacity, and national perspective. 

Guests will hear from leaders shaping the future of the women’s game, explore the investment case for women’s sport, and connect with the ecosystem that’s building Edmonton’s next major growth opportunity. The evening includes networking, light catering, a keynote from Hockey Canada’s Marin Hickox, and a panel discussion featuring some of Edmonton's Business Leaders.
