Transforming Alberta’s Healthcare System: A Conversation with Alberta’s Four Health Ministers

Alberta’s health care system is entering one of the most significant periods of change in its history. The Edmonton Chamber of Commerce is convening the province’s four health ministers for a focused conversation about what this transformation means for employers, workers, and the business community. 

This event features a keynote address and a panel discussion on the Government of Alberta’s refocused health care strategy. Attendees will hear what is changing, what progress has been made, and what Albertans can expect in the months ahead. 

The program includes remarks from the four ministers leading Alberta’s newly structured health system: 

• Matt Jones, Minister of Hospital and Surgical Health Services 
• Adriana LaGrange, Minister of Primary and Preventative Health Services 
• Jason Nixon, Minister of Assisted Living and Social Services 
• Rick Wilson, Minister of Mental Health and Addiction 

The discussion will be moderated by Doug Griffiths, President and CEO of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce. 

The panel will explore how the new model is intended to improve patient access, reduce bottlenecks in service delivery, and lift outcomes across the province. It will also highlight the implications for employers who rely on a stable and healthy workforce to compete and grow.
